       Hello friends, just today I got a requirement of adding Hindi support to the MySQL database which was till now completely in English. Well, i had worked on many Hindi data before too but this time is the first time I was the getting error while adding the Hindi text. I tried to add the Hindi text via Android and retrofit but in the database in place of Hindi text only ?????? were added and ya I laughed for a movement on that. 

    So I had to add Hindi text in the database so that it can be added, retrieved and also displayed in Android. I looked around the internet and there were like many many methods of achieving same. But I wanted something that is simplest, easiest and fastest for my work. The expected outcome for me was something like this:

I achieved it with just one line of SQL code so let's see what it was and how it worked!

KITRC College in 360 VR

While working with all of this latest tech i just wanted to try this 360 VR. I needed a good place for trying to record the VR out. After thinking a lot i decided to pic my own college as the starting point. Well i recorded 360 pics of Kalol institute of Technical and research center (KIRC) and converted them into 360 VR for browser. But this is not complete i mean it has pics but as i was feeling little tired so i took a little bit of less pics and ya i merged two buildings even!! But the great thing is it can still show the college any way.

So final words its not really one of the best 360 ever but a nice try with minimum efforts! It can be build even better. Click on the below link to check it out!!

Well i had to use the pic here as i had uploaded this on some other server and its kinda rule thing or i don't know what that doesn't allows i frame to work between other servers (specially when one is using https and other is using http). It makes sense or not i don't know but it really reduced the excitement and u will really have to click this image to visit the page where the VR 360 pics are really rendered!

Setting the development with Android Studio

Android now a day has become one of the most amazing things to learn. Roundoff Double/Float values to any decimal points

            While working with android apps many of the time the requirement comes up were we need to round off the decimal values to a specific decimal points. Well thats not a big deal and as u migth have been thinking there should be just some simple method that we can call to round off our values directly to the required format.

            But the thing is rounding off this double values is not hard its justa little tricky. It had surely wasted almost my day finding the easiest method to do it but finally i had to end my search with some simple mathmatical calculation.

Crazy Cube Level 1 introducing to Game Components Used

Hello Friends ,

Welcome back last time i showed you main menu of the Game i am working on at home it was pretty but good for just its work of being a main menu. You can visit it here.

    After the main menu next what comes is the real game the physics and the movement. No game can ever be a game without movement for sure. In my game the movement is of the cube. A simple ICE CUBE. I highlighted that term ice cube because just like the ice cube i had added the slippery controls to this cube. Player can move the cube up down left right with camera following it in the way.
          In camera i didnt wanted that just follow patter thats why i added a code to it which checks the cubes position and if it is near the left or right end of the round then it stops the movement as that place is already visible and this gives a little 3d effect too!
         Apart from the camera some code has been added to those Golden cubes too they are golden to give a hint of collecting them. A Rotate script has been added to it just to rotate in the sky simplest one liner code in the update method and wow! our cube if rotating in the Game!

Thats the thing about codding write once and use always this just one nice code is rotating allmost 10 objects in my level not this one others!

Finally with this golden coin all what required by this level was a ending or winning condition that is to reach the Green cube. I was hopping to give some effect to it but then some part of my brain said cmon thats not required let everything be cube only!

So with all this combined the level looks like :

That's good, But i forgot to tell about a lots of things isn't it? I am sure u would have detected them by now for sure! The text i have used on games are :

1. For Level Number

2. For showing the amount of cube collected out of Total

3. A simple Camera Pic to change the camera of the game now that's really useful in later levels!

4. Pause button its just stooping the Time Line and showing the pause menu we would discuss how later!

U would have noticed one more scene too that's the win scene with animated stars and buttons to change level. Ya i know buttons are not really that good but serves the purpose i would change them as soon as i find something better then this!

I have also used a lots of particle systems to make :

1. Snow!

2. Yellow particle on cubes and stars

This all is really very easy but telling them all in one single post is what defines impossible type thing for me!

So may be in next post we can see how it was actually done there? And why not until that post comes u help me a bit with this level itself? Any enhancement in your mind? Something u think should be present there? Something that u would love to have? 

   Objective of this level was just to teach the player that he can collect Golden coins and he has to reach the Green cube that's all and this level is that tiny just to serve that purpose!

Crazy Cube Android Game with cubes only

     From like last one month i was working on a small game including just cubes. The reason was really simple my ability to code was much better than my ability to create models or designs. This can be seen as my first game as its the first one that's actually going to be completed. Everything else i tried was somewhat dropped in the middle due to boredom or excitement of the new projects! But this one, it got completed its not one of the biggest project but while completing it i almost got introduced to every concept of unity. That's something really nice in the form of steps towards becoming a better game developer.

         So let me introduce u to my Game. Its main menu which is a bit not good but server the purpose looks something like :-

Nothing great just a rotating cube with some buttons to play the game, countinue from where u left and a quiet button. Surely for now they look awful but may be they can be modified again later iam not a artist so was not having any better idea for that! And ya on top right corner there is a setting type button to just change the input controller from advance to simple one! 

The whole game is just on cube everything used is a cube from enemies to player itself they all are cubes. Well the real reason for that was making cube is just to easy! Game runs on just a simple logic move and reach to green cube avoiding the falls and enemies which are really a lots of! While reaching to its goal our hero cube can also collect few coins making it even better kind of scoring system on work there! So before I show u next part of my game (which is yet to be realised) do u have any advices for the main  menu? Its not really the best one I can make for sure! Every advices on game are welcomed!
